Tourist Office - There are a number of tourist
offices in Washington. They are all very helpful and
are a great starting place to plan your trip in Washington.
They are a great resource and can provide maps, listings
and other information that is difficult to find elsewhere.
The D.C. Convention & Visitor Association
is the main tourist office for Washington D.C. At
their offices they have a helpful staff that can help
you plan your trip with brochures, maps and anything
else that you may need. They are also a great resource
to find out about any public events that are happening..You
can find them at 1212 New York Ave NW, Suite 600,
202/789-7000. They also host a website that is full
of information that would be helpful to any traveller
to Washington, www.washington.org.
In addition, the DC Chamber of Commerce Visitor
Information Center also offers tours, maps,
lodging brochures and even sells film, tickets and
souvenirs. They can be found at 1300 Pennsylvania

For International travellers, the International
Visitors Information Service located in the
International Arrivals Bldg at Dulles Airport has
free brochures, maps and information. 703/572-2536.
Before any trip to a Smithsonian Museum, a quick
visit to the Smithsonian Visitors Center
is warranted. The helpful guides have maps, information
