Washington
Museums - Needless to say Washington is home
to a number of museums. They range from the grand
National Air and Space Museum to the eclectic Black
Fashion Museum. As a result there is a museum for
everyone. The best place to start is at the Smithsonian
Castle. It is the information center for the museums
run by the Smithsonian. The castle is located at 1000
Jefferson Dr SW, 202/357-2700, www.smithsonian.org.
The castle houses the Smithsonian Visitors Center
which is home to an orientation film, touch-screen
displays and free guides and maps. In addition, the
helpful volunteers can help you plan your trip.
